IFC Midnight has acquired US rights to director André Øvredal’s upcoming Horror flick THE AUTOPSY OF JANE DOE. The film, with a screenplay by Ian B. Goldberg and Richard Naing, was produced by Fred Berger, Eric Garcia, Ben Pugh and Rory Aitken of 42 and was executive produced by IM Global Founder and CEO Stuart Ford, Matt Jackson and Steven Squillante. THE AUTOPSY OF JANE DOE stars Brian Cox and Emile Hirsch.

Synopsis:

"A father­-son coroner team (Brian Cox and Emile Hirsch) face the ultimate head­scratcher with their latest corpse: an unidentified beautiful young woman who boasts no obvious cause of death. As they dig deeper into the examination (and into Jane Doe’s body), the duo uncover increasingly strange and terrifying things. This bloody, clever, and medically rigorous horror film turns the morbid conventions of the genre literally inside-­out."



THE AUTOPSY OF JANE DOE will be in select theaters and VOD on December 20th.
