Change Is Coming In The Final Season Of BATES MOTEL!

Bringing you the best in Horror Movie News, and all things Horror.

During the fourth season of BATES MOTEL we saw Norman finally crack as his mental state became what we knew was inevitable. With his mother now taking her place, and all things rolling up to speed, we can only brace ourselves for the fifth and final season which will return in early 2017.

Not long ago we learned that the Marion Crane character from the original PSYCHO movie will be appearing in the new season of A&E's BATES MOTEL as Rihanna will take on the role. We also recently learned that actress Isabelle McNally will be taking on the role of Madeleine Loomis.

Change is coming to White Pine Bay as we have now learned that actress Brooke Smith has been cast in the role of Dana Green, who is the new sheriff in town. The character is said to be "competent, professional, moralistic and sharp. She possesses a small-town vibe that belies her highly observant nature".

Smith is known for playing the Buffalo Bill captive Catherine Martin in THE SILENCE OF THE LAMBS. She has recently appeared on shows such as Ray Donovan and Grey's Anatomy.

Smith joins Rihanna and McNally along with Freddie Highmore as Norman Bates, Vera Farmiga as his mother Norma, Max Thieriot as his brother Dylan, Nestor Carbonell as Sheriff Alex Romero and Rihanna as Marion Crane.

"This contemporary prequel to the genre-defining film Psycho gives viewers an intimate portrayal of how Norman Bates’ psyche unravels through his teenage years. “Bates Motel” gives fans access to the dark, twisted backstory of Norman Bates and how deeply intricate his relationship with his mother, Norma, truly is."

BATES MOTEL will begin airing it's fifth and final season in early 2017 on A&E.
