Sony's Screen Gems/Unbroken Pictures To Bring Us SCARECROW!

Quite an impressive Horror movie lineup is coming from Unbroken Pictures. Director Akiva Goldsman's supernatural thriller STEPHANIE, the supernatural Horror flick FEBRUARY in which Emma Roberts and Kiernan Shipka are involved, and from Bryan Bertino, director of THE STRANGERS comes THERE ARE MONSTERS.

We have learned that Screen Gems has purchased Mike Scannell's Horror/Thriller SCARECROW with Bryan Bertino and Adrienne Biddle producing through their Unbroken Pictures banner. Screen Gems President Clint Culpepper and Scott Strauss will oversee SCARECROW for the company.

Scannell’s script is set at a remote lake house, and revolves around a mother and her two young daughters who must fight for survival after falling into a terrifying and bizarre nightmare conceived by a psychopath.

Bertino also wrote and directed MOCKINGBIRD, which he also produced with Biddle. That film will be released October 6th through Blumhouse’s newly launched BH Tilt label.
