Best Horror film opening scene?

I was thinking about this the other day. There are so many...I really liked the beginning of Romero's Day of the Dead. Gave you an idea of just how out of control the zombie plague had become.

"Hellooooo!"

Minutes later hordes of moaning zombies march toward the Florida coast. Excellent.

The whole movie is worth it just for the first 20 min.

i reckon the opening scene for SCREAM is the best. and JAWS is pretty cool too. btw, that suicide club opening scene was a bit wtf???? haha weird.

the opening of scream would also be high on my list.

NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD DAWN OF THE DEAD SCREAM SUSPIRIA THE HATCHET MURDERS (PROFONDO ROSSO) BLUE SUNSHINE

The opening of SCREAM has definitely gotta be up there on the top of the list.

That was a damn good scene and definitely gets you geared up for the rest of the movie
