I'll read this, later. However on the topic..I was asked that when I was in college, and did a report on the "history of horror"..I did a big ass report, going from the dark ages of dinosaurs, to religion, etc etc..to novels, bibles, film, muc, and so on.

Horror like comedy..is life.

Imma read this later though..I love the articles on this te.(I don't just look at it for the pictures ;). )

Horror may continue to degrade but I doubt it will die.

so long as there is a human fascination with death and the macabre; of being scared and infatuated with the dark, there will always be horror. We'll see sure trends and popularity may swell and recede at times, but it'll never die. Its been around nce the ancient Greeks. Read some of the tragedies and tell me some of them weren't horrors! Go through the centuries and find the same with Shakespeare, go further and you get Mary SHelley, Bram Stoker, etc. Then it finally went from the theatre stage and book to the big screen. HORROR WILL NEVER DIE mwahahahaha!

Horror will never die.NY is on it man, as long as there are people with a fanation with death, people who get a kick out of being scared, or tweens who enjoy pisng off there parents

The future of horror is solid. The market may go up and down, but the genre will remain. Just to prove my point, Im doing my little part to keep it going as well

Horror has been with us long before motion pictures were posble. Take a look at the myths and legends of most cultures, there are scary things in them. Ever t down and read Grimm's fairy tales? A lot of those stories had blood and gore in them.People can bitch and say the movies are not scary because we are all desentized to

them, but I don't really buy that..You know why? Because all of us have things we are personally afraid of, and someone could ealy put those things in a movie, and maybe portray them realistically enough to really bother some of us. I know a lot of people who are mostly desentized to blood and violence in movies, but certain things really bother them. Everyone thinks differently so something that might scare or disturb one person might have no effect on someone else.
