HIDDEN HORROR GEM OF THE WEEK 4-19-2011

This past week I finally sat down to watch the 2006 film "Severance',after putting it off for far to long. The film comes out of the U.K. and I don't know what they put in their water, but so far they been pumping out some hits. The film takes place in the mountains of Eastern Europe, when a group of coworkers go on a team building retreat for the weapons company Palisade Defence. They get detracked,by way of a downed tree, and that's when all hell breaks loose. The film is great, it mixes horror and comedy perfectly. Half the time I was like "oh shit, that was a nice kill", the other half laughing my ass off. If you have the time to t down and watch it, I suggest you do. It's on the netflix instant watch right now, if you got it. If you don't, I'm sure you can find it on the net. It's really not one to be missed.

BONUS: nce I'm on a U.K. kick, I would also like to put 2009's "DOGHOUSE" out there. It just so happens that the main guy in "SEVERANCE" (Danny Dyer) is in this one too. This one is about a A group of men heading to a remote village to help one of their friends get over his divorce; when they get there, they discover that all the women have been infected with a virus that makes them man-hating cannibals.

Another perfect mix of horror and comedy. Sorry, didn't see this on netflix. But I'm sure its out there.
