Myers Mask Question

Why is it that on alot of the masks that I see, there is vible glue running down the deburn lines? I mean wasn't that covered up by the paint?

I personally tend to add the glue after the paint because the latex paint doesn't always stick so well when painted over the glue. The original went over the paint, but may not have stuck either. Good question.

I always figured that (on the original) after the deburns were taken off, the glue was still there where the hairline was. Then it got painted white (which would have covered up the glue). Anyways, thanks for helping me out on this one.

I understand what you're saying...

But if it was like that in H1, I haven't seen any pictures or screenshots showing it. Anyone have any... or does anyone know a specific part in the movie where it is noticable?

There was also hair still stuck in the glue, which would have stuck up through the paint.....As a maskmaker, I just prefer to do it afterwards, it doesn't look all that different. I could add them beforehand with latex, but then I have to wait for it to dry and it just holds everything up.

That is a good pic Mark of the actual glue lines. I haven't seen that pic before. I sort of always wondered about whether or not the glue was covered up, good topic Patrick!

Thanks. Looks like the glue line even angles back toward the ear. Huh. Well thanks for the picture.
