In the first Scream film writer Kevin Williamson smartly plays off of the sense that "we" the fans know all of the traditional rules of slasher movies because most of us grew up watching them. In Scream 2, we see the changes between the original and the sequel, increases the body counts and killings are more elaborate but not out of the original rules. It's the perfect sequel parody of a slasher movie. Good formula and for the most part it works. In Scream 3, we get the talk about the final chapter of a "horror" trilogy and its characteristics thus seemingly ending what writer Kevin Williamson says he set out to day.
And then comes along came Scream 4 which tries to play off of rules established by remakes adding a twist...
Now my question. What would the rules of Scream 5 be condering the roller-coaster ride we went through with the first four films?
