The Ed Wood box set: make room for some classic B

The Ed Wood Box I Had and lost this wonder and then went and got it again because its just a box of terrible terribly good films! Ed Wood, the master of B movies who's films range from cross-dressers to ghouls. For any body who likes the clascs, B-movies, or Edward D. Wood Jr., Bela Lugo, Gregory Walcott, Tom Keene, Lyle Talbot then this is a must have.

The box set does not include all of ed woods films but 6 of his most well known films which include:

Glen or Glenda. Directed by, and starring Ed Wood, and featuring Bela Lugo and Wood's then-girlfriend Dolores Fuller. The title was originally I Changed My Sex! The film being a docudrama with one story being about cross-dresng and the other about trans-sexuality. The film which is now a cult clasc was filmed in 1953 and condered one of the worst films ever. Ed Wood was also a cross-dresser and the film is very related to his life.

Plot: Glen or Glenda tells two stories. One is about Glen, who secretly dresses as a woman but is afraid to tell his fiancée, Barbara. The other is about Alan, a pseudohermaphrodite who undergoes a painful operation to become a woman. Both stories are told by Dr. Alton, who also delivers an earnest lecture on tolerance and understanding. There is a second narrator, called the Scientist, whose commentary on the action contains more philosophical pronouncements than facts. The movie also has flashbacks-within-flashbacks and a strange dream sequence. We meet Insp. Warren, whose investigation of a transvestite's suicide leads him to learn more about men in women's clothes; Johnny, whose wife left him when she discovered what he wears when she's away; Barbara, oblivious to Glen's dere to wear her angora sweater; Satan, who invades Glen's nightmare; and others.

Jailbait Jail Bait is a 1954 American crime film directed by Ed Wood, with a screenplay by Wood and Alex Gordon. The film stars Timothy Farrell as a gangster who undergoes plastic surgery to elude the police.

Plot: When Marilyn Gregor (Dolores Fuller) is summoned to the police station late one night by Inspector Johns (Lyle Talbot) to bail out her brother Don (Clancey Malone) she is dismayed that there isn't a stronger force in his life. Don has taken up with career criminal Vic Brady (Timothy Farrell) and when they rob a theatre and kill a security guard Inspector Johns begins a wide search for Don with the idea that he still may be rehabilitated. Vic has alternative plans and coerces Delores' father, the plastic surgeon Doctor Gregor (Herbert Rawlinson), to change his looks so he can get away from the police. Doctor Gregor performs an impromptu operation and calls Inspector Johns to alert him. When Johns confronts Vic a shocking discovery is made and a shoot out threatens the life and happiness of the remaining family.

Bride of the monster Bride of the monster is a 1955 sci-fi horror film starring Bela Lugo, along with Tor Johnson, Tony McCoy and Loretta King Hadler. It was produced, directed and co-written by Edward D. Wood, Jr. Also it is alleged that Wood and the filmmakers stole the mechanical octopus (previously used in the film Wake of the Red Witch) from the Republic Studios backlot, while failing to steal the motor which enabled the prop to move realistically. (In which is portrayed in 'Ed Wood' directed by tim burton)

Plot: Dr. Eric Vornoff, is experimenting with nuclear power with the help of his mute asstant Lobo. His goal is to eventually create an army of superpowered soldiers that he will use to conquer the earth whilst in an old manon, Which is guarded by a giant octopus of Dr. Vornoff's own creation which lives in the surrounding swamp.

The Octopus which is referred to as the monster has been responble for the deaths of local townspeople. Newspaper reporter Janet Lawton investigates further, becoming a prisoner of Dr. Vornoff in the process. The police eventually follow, led by lieutenant Dick Craig, who is also Lawton's boyfriend. Meanwhile, an official from Dr. Vornoff's home country, Professor Strowk, arrives and tries to persuade him to return to their homeland in hopes that his research will benefit their nation. However, Strowski is killed and Lobo unwittingly turns Dr. Vornoff into an atomic-powered superhuman being.

Plan 9 from outer space Plan 9 from outer space in which was originally titled grave robbers from outer space until it was objected by the Baptist ministers who financed the picture. The film shot in late 1956 was not distributed for three years after production as no body would handle the film as one 'Gregory Walcott' stated to Ed Wood after reading the script that it is the worse script he has ever read, before jumping on board for the film. sadly Bela Lugo did not fully star in this film as he died during production in which Ed Wood ended up recycling old shot footage from an old movie and having his wife's chiropractor play his role where he covers his face with his cape.

plot: the film is focused on extraterrestrial beings who are seeking to stop humans from creating a doomsday weapon that would destroy the universe. In the course of doing so, the aliens implement "Plan 9", a scheme to resurrect Earth's dead as what modern audiences would conder zombies to get the planet's attention, caung chaos.

Night of the Ghouls Night of the ghouls aka revenge of the dead was written and directed by wood and is of sort to be a sequel to his earlier bride of the monster. Directed and finished in 1959 the film was not publicly exhibited until 1987 as Ed Wood could not pay his lab fees to process the negatives, In which 23 years after filming Millionaire Wade Williams was informed about the film by woods Widow and paid off the outstanding fees in addition to giving it a new title 'night of the ghouls' The film received limited theatrical play, and was multaneously released on home video.

plot: The film revolves around a confidence trickster, Dr. Acula who pretends to be able to contact the dead, and charges people large amounts of money to speak to their relatives. The ending involves Acula inadvertently summoning a group of real ghosts, and being imprisoned for all eternity.

Love them All. I have most of them on VHS minus Jail bait. Wouldn't trade them for anything. If nothing else the man had determination.
