Here's The First Look At The Teaser Art For The Animated Flick 'ParaNorman'

One project that we've been eagerly anticipated is Focus Features stop-motion animated flick ParaNorman, which comes to us from the same animation studio that brought us Coraline.

ParaNorman deals with a small town which comes under ege by zombies. Only misunderstood local boy Norman (voiced by Kodi Smit-McPhee), who is able to speak with the dead, can save the day. In addition to the zombies, he'll have to take on ghosts, witches, and worst of all, moronic grown-ups to save his town from a centuries-old curse. But this young ghoul whisperer may find his paranormal activities pushed to their otherworldly limits.

Although the film isn't due out until next August, Focus Features has decided to reveal it's first teaser poster which suggests "You don't become a hero by being normal."

ParaNorman is being directed by Sam Fell (The Tale of Despereaux, Flushed Away) and Chris Butler (Coraline, The Corpse Bride) from Butler's original screenplay. The film is the second feature that the animated studio Laika has produced.

Look for the film starring the voices of

Casey Affleck, Tempestt Bledsoe, Jeff Garlin, John Goodman, Bernard Hill Anna Kendrick, Leslie Mann, Christopher Mintz-Plasse, Kodi Smit-McPhee, Elaine Stritch, Tucker Albrizzi, Alex Borstein, and Jodelle Ferland to hit theaters on August 17, 2012.
