3 Blood Soaked Images & Trailer For Kinetic Filmmworks 'Bunyun'

A dark, contemporary take on the tall tale of lumberjack Paul Bunyan is coming our way from Kinetic Filmmworks.

Here's the deets: Kids at a first-time offenders' boot camp discover that the legend of Paul Bunyan is real but is much more horrifying than they could have imagined. They incur the wrath of the 15-foot monstrous giant, who was banished from town 100 years ago and thought dead.

Bunyun in all it's B-rated glory comes to us from director Gary Jones (Boogeyman 3) from a script by Jeff Miller and Jones who are also the founders of Kinetic Filmmworks.

Jeff came up with the idea of BUNYAN while brainstorming at Solar de Cahuenga, a coffee shop in Hollywood, CA.

He thought "What if Paul Bunyan was a real person, only he wasn't the nice guy everyone made him out to be?"

He scribbled down a couple of lines of an idea, then later, at the same coffee shop, pitched the idea to Gary, who was instantly struck by it.

The two then began to outline the rest of the story and decided to make it the first film for Kinetic Filmmworks.

After several drafts of the script, the movie went into production.

It has shot in several locations over three states -- California, Ohio, and Michigan. Currently the film is in post-production.
