The Horror Actor you've ALWAYS Got to Pull For (Who's Yours?)

I may be in the minority here (I doubt it though!), but I’ve found that I cannot stop cheering for Brad Dourif in virtually every horror film I’ve seen him in; portraying protagonist, meager victor, or full on antagonist. The man exuberates charisma, and he really offers everything he’s got to every role he tackles. He’s a man who is pasonate about his profeson, which translates into remarkably endearing characters.

Whether it be The Exterminator in Graveyard Shift, the naïve madman Dr. Jonathan Gediman in Alien: Resurrection or good old Sheriff Brackett in Rob Zombie’s Halloween films, I just absolutely have to cheer for this guy. His dedication to his craft seeps through the pores, and I find myself engrossed while watching the man’s work. This is a ma who truly doesn't understand the definition of 'lazy'; for that I issue applause. If there’s any actor that I must cheer for in virtually all genre pieces, it’s you Mr. Dourif.

Naomi Watts for me. I absolutely love her and wish she'd do more horror.

I'm surprised you didn't mention Dourif's role as Chucky - can you picture anyone else doing that voice? As for me, I've grown partial to Marc Senter (The Lost, Cabin Fever 2, Red, White, and Blue) as well as the great Tom Atkins, a genre fav of mine.

I never thought I'd find someone who had the same thought as me on this! Brad Douriff is one of my all time favorites. Bedes that, probably Bill Mosely or Kane Hodder.

I would have to say that the actor/actress I always find myself pulling for is Danielle Harris. From her early roles in films like Halloween 4, Halloween 5, and Don't Tell Mom the Babytter's Dead, I always really liked her. She's definitely a gem to the horror genre.

I would also have to recognize Bill Mosely and Corey Haim (RIP!). They are both actors I enjoy quite a bit.

I would say Jamie Lee Curtis, but she hasn't done much horror in awhile, so I had to pass the torch. For her time, she was remarkable!

I will watch any film with Lance Henriksen.. Even when I know it will be shit! Also "The Great Chinned One" Bruce Campbell. Two horror legends.

I'd have to say Bill motley and Danielle Harris. I also like Karen Black and Leslie Easterbrook

@Matt, are you a big fan of the HBO series Deadwood? I am with you that Dourif is amazing and i think the Doc in Deadwood is without a doubt one of his best roles.
