Early Promo Art And A Couple Of Stills Give Us Our First Look At 'Silent Night'

Who ever heard of Christmas in May? But then again when have you ever seen Saint Nick carrying a flamethrower? Well if your a citizen of Selkirk, Manitoba, Canada, then this is a ght that is a bit more common as cameras continue to roll in the quaint town as another slasher remake breathes new life.

lent Night is a loose remake of Charles E. Sellier Jr's 1984 horror clasc LENT NIGHT, DEADLY NIGHT.

In the film, "It's a snowy Christmas Eve in Cryer, Wisconn. The normally quiet town is bustling with activity as the redents are getting ready for the big day. The events take place around the town's annual Santa Parade, which has brought a record number of Santas to town. Deputy Sheriff Aubrey Bradimore (King) is stuck reluctantly working the night shift, dealing with all of the drunken Santas, road closures, and stressed out locals — but things are about to take a deadly turn. A vicious serial killer, dressed as Santa Claus, has made his own “naughty list”, and anyone on it is in big trouble. As the body count rises, Aubrey races to discover the killer’s true identity – but in a town full of Santas, shady characters, and dark secrets, finding the real murderer will take more then a Christmas miracle."

The cast includes veteran actor Malcolm McDowell who plays the role of the sheriff, Jaime King (MOTHER’S DAY and MY BLOODY VALENTINE) as the beeged town’s deputy, as well as SHARK NIGHT 3D’s Donal Logue, FINAL DESTINATION’s Brendan Fehr, Ellen Wong and Lisa Marie (SLEEPY HOLLOW, Rob Zombie’s upcoming THE LORDS OF SALEM), with a special appearance by Jamie Kennedy, famous for his role as the rules-cataloguer of SCREAM. Stuntman/actor Rick Skene (WRONG TURN 4, EYE OF THE BEAST) plays the killer Santa.

The movie has been picked up for North American distribution by Anchor Bay, and will see a release in time for Christmas 2012.
