The Blu-ray Release Date For 'Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter' Has Been Set Already

The execs over at 20th Century Fox seem to be wasting no time at all on releang the Tim Burton-produced, Timur Bekmambetov-directed mash-up Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter to DVD and Blu-ray.

Although the details are scant at the moment, Blu-ray.com is telling us to circle the date September 18th on our calendars, which is just a little less than 3 months from its original theatrical release. Currently the film has only amassed

$32,106,376 domestically, which may be the key reason why the $100,000,000 budgeted film is hitting Blu-ray rather quickly.

As of July 7, 2012, Rotten Tomatoes reports a "rotten" approval score of 34%, based on 154 reviews, with an average score of 4.9/10. The consensus reads that the film "has visual style to spare, but its overly serious tone doesn't jibe with its decidedly lly central premise, leaving filmgoers with an unfulfilling blend of clashing ingredients."
