'Piranha 3DD' Swims To Blu-ray This September

If I hadn't already had the chance to view the campy comedy-horror film, PIRANHA 3DD, I might have seriously been stoked to report that Anchor Bay Entertainment and Dimenon Films will be releang the lack-luster sequel to Blu-ray Combo and DVD formats this September. However, my level of sheer joy is non-existent because quite frankly - the movie sucked that bad! Nonetheless the sequel is heading to retailers on September 4, 2012 with a SRP of $29.99 for the 3D Blu-ray Combo Pack and $24.98 for the standard definition DVD.

PIRANHA 3DD stars Danielle Panabaker (The Crazies, Friday the13th), Katrina Bowden (TV’s “30 Rock”), David Koechner (Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy, Get Smart), David Hasselhoff (TV’s “Baywatch,” “Knight Rider”), Christopher Lloyd (Piranha 3D, Back to the Future), and Gary Busey (Lethal Weapon,The Buddy Holly Story). Directed by John Gulager (Feast) and written by Marcus Dunstan and Patrick Melton (the writing team behind four Saw titles),

PIRANHA 3DD incorporates the clasc elements of the teen horror/exploitation movies of the1970s, packed with ferocious flesh-eaters, scantily-clad young victims, and bizarre and exciting twists and turns. Whereas Piranha 3D took place on a lake, the 2012 sequel is set at a water park, complete with water slides and a lazy river – the perfect places for piranha mayhem! Back for more outrageous fun, Christopher Lloyd reprises his role as the eccentric piranha expert.

In the sequel, "After the terror unleashed on Lake Victoria in Piranha 3D, the prehistoric school of blood thirsty piranhas are back and this time, no one is safe from the flesh-eating fish as they nk their razor-sharp teeth into the vitors of summer’s best attraction, The Big Wet Water Park."

PIRANHA 3DD Blu-ray Combo Pack and DVD special features include:

Audio Commentary with the filmmakers

“The Story Behind the DD”

“The Hofftastic World of David Hasselhoff”

“Busey’s Bloopers”

“Wet and Wild with David Koechner”

Deleted Scenes
