Anchor Bay Picks Up The Rights To Distribute 'Mimesis: Night of the Living Dead'

With roughly 25 film festivals and conventions currently under its belt, Dead Weight Productions' zombie flick Mimes: Night of the Living Dead has been actively seeking a label to distribute the film for nearly a year. And now comes word, via The Wrap, that Anchor Bay Entertainment

has acquired the U.S. and Canadian rights to bring the undead home to the masses.



In addition, Meyers Entertainment has gned a deal to represent the horror thriller in the rest of the world.

Mimes, co-written and directed by Douglas Schulze and stars Courtney Gains (Children of the Corn, The 'Burbs), Allen Maldonado (Midnight Meat Train, Live Free or Die Hard), Gavin Grazer (Cowboys and Aliens, Frost/Nixon) along with d Haig (Devil's Rejects, House of 1000 Corpses).

In the film, "A group of horror fans find themselves unwilling participants in a nightmarish role playing game that pays homage to the clasc horror film Night of the Living Dead."
