Paul W.S. Anderson Signs On To Direct Resident Evil 6, Milla Jovovich Returns As Well

Less than two weeks ago, it was revealed that Screen Gems was planning to release another sequel in the Redent Evil

film franchise with a tentative date set for September 12th, 2014. However, at the time it was only speculated that Paul W.S. Anderson would be returning to helm the franchise that grossed a whopping $897,586,198 worldwide at the box office.

We now have confirmation from via First Showing, which broke the news, that Anderson will indeed be back to direct the xth installment of the franchise. In addition, Milla Jovovich will once again return as Alice, which is certainly a no-brainer.

Anderson plans to start shooting Redent Evil 6 this fall. The Mr X visual effects house, who was responble for all the movie magic you saw in the most recent sequel along with the other sequels Apocalypse and Afterlife, not to mention Anderson's Three Musketeers will return to do VFX work on the new project.

As you may remember Anderson previously revealed that he had plans for a new trilogy that would begin following Afterlife, and with this being his third offering maybe this will be the last that we see Alice in her yummy tight black leather. Time will only tell.
