Jurassic Park 4 Has Found Its Director, And His Name Is Colin Trevorrow

Having met with the studio and filmmakers of the upcoming "Jurasc" chapter, Deadline is now reporting that Colin Trevorrow (Safety Not Guaranteed) has been set by Universal Pictures to helm the long-awaited Jurasc Park 4.



Having grown up a huge fan of the trilogy and part of a new generation of directors steeped in all things dinosaur. The studio felt that Trevorrow (pictured below) would preserve and protect the characters in the story that they created.



As previously reported, Rise Of The Planet Of The Apes scribes Rick Jaffa and Amanda lver have written the script for the fourth installment. Frank Marshall is producing with Patrick Crowley, and Steven Spielberg is executive producer.

This is Spielberg’s baby, and he got this giant franchise going by directing the first two films. This is a big piece of buness for Universal and Spielberg; their last Jurasc Park picture was released in 2001, directed by Joe Johnston.

Jurasc Park 4 will be shot in 3D and get released on June 13, 2014.
