Wes Craven Talks About MTV's Scream TV Series

It's no secret that MTV has been trying to develop a televion adaptation of the Kevin Williamson-created franchise for quite some time, in fact it was recently revealed that the cable network is now moving forward with an official pilot order. With that being said, Wes Craven took to Twitter to give his thoughts on the project, and to whether or not he would conder helming the pilot...

A lot of you have asked about the Scream TV series. It’s true I’ve been approached. My response was, it would depend on the script… If they have a great script/concept, it could be fun. If not, not,”

Currently MTV is in search of writers for the one-hour project. Should Scream receive a series order, it would be slated for a summer 2014 launch and would join current scripted offerings Teen Wolf (also adapted from a film franchise) and Awkward.

Dimenon Films is producing.
