HORROR MOVIE...

What is your favorite horror movie? If you had to choose one out of the whole bunch... which would it be? Also, tack on your favorite part(not an entire scene... but a specific moment in the film).

Mine would have to be HalloweeN(the original) And My favorite part is when Michael appears behind Laurie in the shadows, just before slashing her arm.

I think mine would have to be Evil Dead 2.

Favorite part... when Henryetta pops out of the ground in the fruit cellar. Clasc.

By the way... if someone mentions a film that you believe to be a "not so good" movie(i.e. Halloween Resurrection), and you wish to comment on it... please take your discuson elsewhere. It's better than cluttering up the thread with unnecessary posts. Now potive comments are another thing.

Sorry... should have mentioned this before. Continue on...

Mine is of course the first Halloween. And my favorite parts are when Michael is stalking Laurie. Like when she looks out the window during class and he's just standing there, watching.

The Burning without a doubt is my favorite. I would say the raft scene is my favortie scene in it.

Yeah... The Evil Dead series as a whole needs to win some sort of major award.

Halloween, when Michael is behind the sheets in Laurie's neighbor's yard then disappears, the scared the crap out of me when i was a kid

Hard to choose just one but I'd say American Werewolf in London with the transformation scene being my fave. When I saw that as a kid it blew me away. Meeting David Naughton at Screamfest last October was the highlight of the event for me.

Just for fun, here are a few AWIL pieces in my collection:

Ok I've thought about it and I'll have to go with Evil Dead 2.

My favorite all time horror quote comes from that movie, "I'll swallow your soul."

Chainsaw, Ash fighting his own hand, 20 different shades of blood, book of the dead . ..

yep this is the fav.

I'd have to add in TCM as one also as is the evil dead series but the TCM and the raw look and feel it had and the one scene where "you see Leatherface stick her on the hook" as most say they see. It is the one scene where so many people sear they saw the hook go into her back but it never even happens. that to me is one scene that makes your mind really go crazy and you actually feel the hook.

I agree 100%. Those are the kind of things that will always stick in your head. That's how you know that you just watched a good movie.

By the way... is High Tenon worth my money? I've thought about buying it a few times in the past.
