Cloverfield . . . (Spoilers)

So I'm not going to go into any detail but just say my Good & Bad. (spoilers ahead, beware)

GOOD So I like the fact they don't explain anything about the monster, is it from space? sea?

Is it an experiment gone terribly wrong?

I love this, it lets the viewers imagination come up with whatever because more than likely if they had explained it, it would have just been a let down. I also like how little they show the monster.

Once again much more realistic and makes you excited for those scenes when you do get a peek.

BAD So that one scene where the monster looks down at camera boy and then tries to eat him and he gets thrown around then dies.

First off, why didn't it kill the others?

The thing is so big it surely would have seen them too?

AND!!!!

A giant monster like that with jets shooting at it isn't going to pay attention to the stupid ant-zed human below.

Look at it this way, if you are being swarmed by a nest of wasps are you going to stop and take time to squash the ant below you?!?!?

NO!!!!!!!

That scene really took me out of the story.

Hey man... just a suggestion: If you post a review that might contain spoilers, I'd put something like "SPOLIERS" in the title of the thread. Some people look at movie reviews to see if it was good or bad before they go out and actually watch it. Just thought I'd let you know.

This was such a letdown as far as they hype it had. I just guess I expected so much more and was not seeing why it needed the hype but then again that happens with so many films these days.

I did like the fact as was said above the monster is not really seen alot through the movie giving it that dark feel to it where you are not 100% sure what is destroying most everything around. I also liked as was said above how they don't explain how and where it come from. There is nothing worse then everything these days having to be explained. Overall I can't find alot of bad things but I need to watch it again and I am sure I'll find some.

I really hope they don't destroy this concept with the second and third one in the works...
