Few films have been wanted on DVD more than Island of Lost Souls (1932). I actually have not seen this supposed clasc, but its fanbase is unbelievable. It has won the Rondo award FIVE YEARS IN A ROW for most-wanted DVD release, plus it currently has a 7.8/10 rating on IMDB and an 89% critic's rating on Rotten Tomatoes. It's the first film veron of H. G. Wells' Island of Dr. Moreau, about a mad doctor who turns people into animals.
Now, Island of Lost Souls is finally coming to DVD and Blu-Ray as part of The Criterion Collection! You may remember The Criterion Collection released such films as Videodrome, Cronos, and The Blob with high-def transfers and lots of bonus features, and they're not skimping on this release! The pre-order price on the webte is $31.96 for the Blu-Ray and it's set to be released on October 25. For more information, click on the link:
