Danai Gurira has been announced as the katana-wielding heroine in AMC's "The Walking Dead" series which BooMan earlier reported broke cable rating records in its season two finale. Danai Gurira (Treme/The Vitor) will star in the coveted role of Michonne. Season two's finale first featured the character who will reappear in season three of the AMC series. Michonne is a fan favorite from Robert Kirkman’s comic book series, is a mysterious woman armed with a sword and two armless and jawless walker pet/slaves.
