Earlier today our friends at DreadCentral reported that the "long-time Sam Raimi editor Bob Murawski (Army of Darkness; Spider-man, Drag me to Hell) has packed up and headed out to Detroit to begin work on the long talked about fourth entry into the Evil Dead franchise."
While this news was warranted many in the horror community batted their eyes because of past false rumors from both direction Sam Raimi and the legendary B-actor Bruce Campbell himself. However, Dread said they had a good foundation and the story spread.
Today Bruce Campbell, who has recently officially joined the Twitter world updated fans about the rumors. Is this more of the same banter between him and lifelong buddy Sam Raimi? Or might we actually see "a small indie thing (EVIL DEAD 4 or a remake) like the first two."
Read the comments below and judge for yourself. One person says EVIL DEAD 4 while Bruce states remake. You be the jury on which is right.
From DreadCentral: According to Bruce Campbell's official webte
BruceCampbell.com, Bruce officially joined Twitter over the weekend (Follow @GroovyBruce). On his Twitter te Bruce was questioned by a fan who stated "I won't believe in a new Evil Dead film until I see it. Or at least not until Source: GroovyBruce tells me to believe in it" to which Campbell responded "Believe in the remake, dawg! The project is real. In the works. Cool as hell. Scary as hell." More as it comes.
Stay tuned as we will surely have updates on this in the near future Bidites!
